About us The water bottle you saw, is our unique raw material. After we are done with it, it will be turned into a shirt, a toy, or even purhaps a baby wipe. In an average year, we use close to 100,000 metric tons of recycled post consumer PET waste. That's about 4,000,000,000.000 (four billion) bottles. Shengchang Technologies Co., Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of polyester fiber, yarn, and other specialty chemical textile fibers. Our fibers are exported to the US, Europe, Middle East, and other Asian countries and make their way into clothes, stuffed toys, threads, baby wipes, medical gowns and much more. Thanks to our dedication to quality control we are possibly the only regenerated fiber maker worldwide that finds its products in medical use. All of the fiber products presented here are made from our own manufacturing facilities in mainland China. Our factories are located in the city of Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province, 150 kms northeast of Shanghai. We currently have 3 production lines, with an annual production capacity of over 100,000 metric tons. We employ close to 300 people and achieve annual sales of more than 50 million US dollars. It has only been developed since 2001, and gaining commercial acceptance in recent years. Bosilun fiber has been widely used as a more economical substitute for Acrylic fiber. What makes Bosilun special is the user's ability to dye the fiber at normal boiling temperature under normal pressure conditions. Also compared to the standard polyester fiber, bosilun has a much better bulking intensity, elasticity and fiber rigidity. It can be used in garment fabrics, knitted products, non-wovens, imitation furs, filling material for quilts, in spinning with cotton, wool, etc. We offer a wide range of fiber specifications and colors. In addition to fiber, we also offer bosilun tops, and tow. If your production team is new to Bosilun and would like guidance in its application and use, we have our experts in house who will be happy to assist. 1.5 D x 38 mm 3.0 D x 38 mm 3.0 D x 76 mm 5.0 D x 102 mm raw white, bright yellow, forest green, and much more Page 1 For use in yarn spinning and non-wovens Tenacity > 6.2 cn/D Elongation = 25% Over-length fiber < 0.001% Multi-length fiber < 10mg/100g Oil pickup = 0.13% Crimps = 12 per 25mm Available in 100% regenerated or a combination grade of regenerated and virgin, as well as special qualities such as low melt or anti-static. 1.2D OB or RW SD For use in yarn spinning and non-wovens Tenacity > 5.7 cn/D Elongation = 35% Over-length fiber < 0.001% Multi-length fiber < 10mg/100g Oil pickup = 0.15% Crimps = 12 per 25mm Available in 100% regenerated or a combination grade of regenerated and virgin. Where as normally polyester fiber is made from direct derivatives from petroleum, our regenerated fiber uses flakes made out of 100% post consumer recycled materials. Regenerated fiber is not only more environmentally friendly than virgin fiber, it is also relatively cheaper. Quality-wise, properties are very similar. Each of our production batch is tested in house for quality of fiber and fastness of color. Not only is the end product examined, material that goes into the production is thoroughly tested for content and quality. Page 2 Recycling and waste collection Recylers such as Waste Management or Wasteco collect residential and commercial recycled PET waste. The bottles go through a preliminary sorting and then are baled and shipped out to bottle processing centeres. RePET project We have an exclusive supplying relationship with RePET USA. RePET USA is a bottle to flake processing facility located in Los Angeles area California. It collects and processes over 21,000 metric tons of plastic bottles a year. Learn more about RePET USA Page 3 Bottles sorting Because PET bottles are often mixed in with other types of plastics, these must be sorted. The bottle processing centers unbale the bottles and sorts through them by material and color. Labels, caps, PVC, and other contents are kept at minimum. Page 4 Flaking and washing The sorted bottles are broken down into corn size flakes and washed through cold and hot water to clean out dirt and other substances. Then dried flakes are packaged in woven bags and shipped out to end users such as us. FIBER MAKING Fiber making Spinning and Drawing Crimping and Drying Cutting and Baling Fiber making Property No1 Regenerated polyester fiber usages Polyester fibers are found everywhere. It can be weaved into yarn then made into clothes. It can also be made into non-woven fabrics for use as baby wipes and medical gauze masks. In a thicker form it is used as stuffing material found in furniture and toys. Where previously all of these uses were derived from new materials, we are now able to completely substitute these new materials with recycled PET. Property No2 Spinning and Drawing The first stage of regenerated PSF making is to feed all raw materials into a big heating drum, where all of the feedstock is melted. Then the melted polyester is drawn out as thin strands for further processing. This stage is especially important when making fiber from recycled materials. Unlike virgin materials, recycles are not uniform in color and composition, therefore it is essential for the production team to be able to know exactly what to allocate into the feedstock. Property No3 Crimping and Drying The polyester strands are then further thinned, crimped and dryed. The thinning process makes the fiber at the required denier count, the crimping gives a 'waves' texture to the fiber, and drying makes sure all additives and finishes added to the fiber are permanently bonded. Property No3 Cutting and Baling In the final stage of production, the long strand of finished fiber, called tow, is fed through a rotating cutter and cut into required lengths. The now cotton like fibers are then fed into an automatic baler for final packaging. Inspections are done through out the manufacturing process, and only when sampled fiber is at the desired specifications will we proceed with packaging. Even after packaging, x-ray inspection is done on the bales to make sure they do not contain wrong additives or solid particles.
